Today, Sheshe Baharini is a small, intimate hotel with a focus on luxury and 5 star service. In keeping with the design of the original “Castle”, the accommodation features elements of Moorish, Portuguese and African design reflecting the rich and unique history of the Kenyan coast.

There is a crystal clear pool situated in the centre of the gardens where you can laze in the water while watching the ocean and laughing at the antics of our resident tribe of Vervet monkeys.

As well as a cocktail lounge on the roof terrace of the original Castle, 2 well stocked bars and a pizzeria with an Italian wood fired pizza oven, Sheshe boasts a beautiful, al fresco restaurant with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.

All our food is prepared in house by our skilled chefs using the freshest ingredients, always locally sourced where possible.

You will often see local fishermen bringing their daily catches to the kitchen doors in the morning for you to enjoy for dinner and there are few experiences more romantic than sitting in the restaurant watching the moon rise out of the sea and hearing the breeze whispering through the palm trees as you indulge in fine wine and delicious, freshly caught seafood.
